does Long term student VISA for France allow multiple entry?
Hi, I am from India, and I have applied for a long term student VISA for France. I wanted to know whether this VISA would allow multiple entry to France and whether I can use it to travel to schengen countries. Thanks for help. Kris

Yes, long stay national visa (type D) are in general issued for multiple-entries, unless the visa holder is required to apply for a residence permit (Carte de sejour temporaire) immediately after arrival in France. One key-point of the Schengen agreement is that holders of a long-stay visa or a residence permit issued by one Schengen country can freely travel to the other Schengen countries for up to 90 days per semester..
